Terms of Use
Effective date: April 14, 2026
Acceptance of Terms
These Terms of Use govern your access to and use of Taopilot, a self-custodial Bittensor wallet app and related read-only data services. By downloading, accessing, or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
Eligibility
You may use the Service only if you are legally permitted to do so in your jurisdiction and are capable of forming a binding agreement. You are solely responsible for ensuring that your use of the Service complies with all laws, rules, and regulations that apply to you.
Description of the Service
Taopilot helps users manage TAO and other supported Bittensor-related activities, view balances, review public network data, and interact with staking-related functionality. The Service may evolve over time, and features may be added, modified, or removed without prior notice.
Self-Custodial Wallet Model
Taopilot is intended to operate as a self-custodial wallet. You, not Taopilot, control the private keys, seed phrases, signing materials, and blockchain accounts used with the App. We do not custody digital assets, recover private keys or seed phrases, or take possession of user funds. We also cannot reverse or cancel blockchain transactions once submitted.
Public Data Services and APIs
The Service may use or make available read-only public data services, caches, indexers, nodes, or APIs to improve access speed and data coverage for public blockchain information. These services are provided to surface public network data more efficiently. They do not require an account, do not change the permissionless nature of the Bittensor network, and do not make Taopilot a custodian, broker, or fiduciary.
No Investment Advice
Taopilot does not provide investment, financial, legal, tax, or other professional advice. Nothing on the Service constitutes a recommendation, endorsement, solicitation, or offer to buy, sell, stake, delegate, or hold any digital asset or network position.
User Responsibilities
You are solely responsible for verifying wallet addresses, validators, subnet details, transaction parameters, staking destinations, lockups, fees, and other relevant information before taking action. You are also responsible for securing your devices, backups, private keys, seed phrases, and other credentials.
Blockchain and Network Risks
Blockchain transactions and staking actions are generally irreversible. Public network data may be delayed, incomplete, reorganized, or inaccurate. Validators, subnets, nodes, RPC providers, indexers, and other infrastructure may fail, act maliciously, or become unavailable. Rewards, yields, slashing, lockups, protocol changes, and other network outcomes are outside Taopilot's control.
Third-Party Services and App Stores
The Service may interoperate with third-party networks, validators, public APIs, nodes, app stores, or other service providers. We do not control those third parties and are not responsible for their availability, accuracy, security, acts, omissions, fees, terms, privacy practices, or performance.
Fees and Taxes
Blockchain networks, validators, app stores, or third-party services may impose fees, gas costs, commissions, slashing conditions, lockups, or other charges. You are solely responsible for understanding and paying all such amounts, as well as any taxes, reporting obligations, or other liabilities arising from your activity.
Prohibited Conduct
You may not use the Service to violate law, infringe rights, interfere with network operations, bypass security controls, introduce malicious code, scrape the Service in an abusive manner, misrepresent identity, or engage in fraud, market abuse, sanctions evasion, or other harmful conduct.
Suspension or Termination
Taopilot may suspend, restrict, or discontinue access to the Service or particular features at any time, with or without notice, if we believe it is reasonably necessary to protect the Service, comply with law, investigate abuse, address security concerns, or manage operational changes.
Disclaimers
The Service is provided on an as-is and as-available basis. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Taopilot disclaims all warranties, whether express, implied, or statutory, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, non-infringement, accuracy, availability, security, or uninterrupted operation. Taopilot does not guarantee any staking rewards, protocol outcomes, validator performance, uptime, or error-free functionality.
Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Taopilot and its affiliates, service providers, and licensors will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenues, business, data, digital assets, goodwill, or opportunities, arising out of or relating to your use of or inability to use the Service.
Changes to Terms
We may revise these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will update the effective date shown on this page. By continuing to use the Service after updated Terms become effective, you agree to the revised Terms.
