Answers to common questions about Taopilot, self-custody, wallet recovery, staking, support, and public Bittensor network data.

Is Taopilot custodial?

No. Taopilot is intended to operate as a self-custodial wallet. You control the wallet keys and are responsible for keeping your recovery material safe.

Can Taopilot recover my wallet?

No. Taopilot cannot recover a lost seed phrase, private key, or wallet backup. If you lose access to your recovery material, access to the wallet may be permanently lost.

Can Taopilot reverse a transaction?

No. Blockchain transactions are generally irreversible after they are submitted and confirmed by the network. Review all transaction details before signing.

Why does my balance or staking data look delayed?

Taopilot reads public blockchain and network data through nodes, indexers, caches, or other public data infrastructure. Data can lag, refresh at different intervals, or temporarily differ from another explorer.

Does Taopilot provide investment advice?

No. Taopilot does not provide financial, investment, tax, legal, staking, validator, subnet, or yield advice. Any asset or staking decision is your responsibility.

What information should I include when contacting support?

Include your app version, device model, operating system version, a short description of the issue, and public identifiers such as a transaction hash or public wallet address if relevant. Do not include seed phrases, private keys, or screenshots that reveal secrets.
